Travelling with Drukyul Holidays for three weeks in February 2016 with a group of eight friends was a memorable experience. We followed a well-planned itinerary that allowed a balanced combination of cultural and religious (tsechus, goemba and lhakhang), breathtaking (both scenery and cardiac) tours and walks (Taktshang goemba, Sakteng village and many more) and viewing the stunning landscape from our comfortable and safely driven van.
We travelled from Paro to Trashigang (and back!), combining road and air travel to optimize our exposure to the diversity of geographic and cultural landscape and Bhutan’s warm and welcoming people. We had cozy comfortable accommodations throughout the country and never lacked for sumptuous meals, always accompanied by chilies and generously complemented with fresh local produce. It was evident that Dorji(s) of Drukyl Holidays knew their country intimately and went out of their way to customize our trip to the various interests of the participants, whether it be searching out black necked cranes, local weavers and artists, festivals and ceremonies, or getting up close and personal to takins. Thank you Drukyul Holidays for sharing their beautiful country and people with us.
